Here is the selection of the game projects I worked on, doing my best to deliver game mechanics and stories through texts and other narrative tools, collaborating with game designers and artists.

Being in charge of a tiny indie game studio means a lot of hands-on work and learning new skills daily. All things art are up to me: game design, narrative, writing, and 2D art. In my work, I don't shy away from heavy topics but address them with a light heart. Frogs & Mushies

Frogs & Mushies is a narrative-rich strategy/management simulation game about building resilience in the face of adversity. As a player, you get to run a mushroom housing complex for a bunch of frogs bullied by Big Toad. Although you can provide them with a somewhat fragile sense of security, your main goal is to help the frogs live the happiest lives possible, regardless of unfortunate circumstances.

This is Casuology's first game, and we're seeking a publisher. If you are one or know someone who might be interested, please let us know!

Job Rejection Helpline

Job Rejection Helpline is an interactive tragicomedy for job-seekers, available for play in your favorite browse. I created this game in a month of pure working time, and it was my first time using Python.

As a Narrative Designer and Localization Manager, I was responsible for synopses and ideation, developing the concepts, being on a lookout for narrative interventions, and doing tons of writing. It is important for every single new word in the game to be understood by the target audience, so I also took care of localization and release notes copy.

Dream Catcher: Prologue

Dream Catcher is a 3D puzzle adventure game featuring dozens of characters and mini-stories, meant to awaken nostalgic and relatable feels in each and every player.

In this one, I was in charge of the narrative from start to finish, coming up with the world and character ideas and developing them into stories that drive the gameplay.

Into the Radius VR

Into the Radius is a single-player survival shooter for VR veterans. The lore is delivered through the notes and audio tapes scattered around the Radius zone.

My role in this project is to expand the lore, support events, work on tutorials, and provide attractive marketing texts to make you want to go shoot a couple of monsters in a post-apocalyptic setting.

Troll Hunter VR

Troll Hunter is a VR action-adventure where you explore harsh nature, study trolls, set traps, and hunt them down to protect civilians.

This game relies heavily on environmental storytelling, so my job was to come up with ways to guide players through the surroundings which would tell them about trolls’ habits and ways to fight them. I also developed the protagonist’s portrait and his backstory delivered in snippets of text during the tutorial.

Cats & Magic: Dream Kingdom

Cats & Magic is a juicy mix of a city builder, puzzle, and unique cat collecting. Your goal is to help adorable kitties to rebuild Catland after the Evil Fog’s attack and collect all of their lost friends.

I’m in charge of every single line of text in this game, delivering the story through dialogues and building/character descriptions.

Artisan Diaries

Artisan Diaries is one more 3D puzzle game where a player runs a workshop fixing things for the citizens of Pelican Town. The aforementioned things contain specific story bits which will unravel upon the puzzle’s completion.

My goal was to create story arcs by dividing the puzzle objects into groups that would fit each character and, of course, writing the bite-sized texts.

ZeptoLab

During my time fulfilling the duties of a Localization and Content manager, I worked with the following projects expanding the lore, designing and writing for LiveOps and different events, taking care of the majority of marketing texts and social media posts, and making sure all things are translated in a timely manner.

CATS: Crash Arena Turbo Stars

C.A.T.S. is the most ingenious and stylish war machine constructor. It invites you to build a battle car from collected parts and unleash its power against other players in uncontrollable PvP fights.

I worked closely with game designers to write in-game texts for different features and help them design LiveOps events. I was also in charge of social media for all ZeptoLab games, so naturally, I’d set tasks for artists when I needed visuals for posts or covers and avatars.

Cut the Rope franchise

Cut the Rope is a series of legendary physics-based games featuring everyone’s favorite cute green monster, called Om Nom.

Here I was mostly involved in newer projects, such as Om Nom: Merge and Om Nom: Run, but would also support older ones, especially with localization and marketing.

King of Thieves

King of Thieves is a unique mix of platformer and PVP multiplayer game where you dodge traps and steal gold from other players.

I made sure each update has all required texts written and translated and also worked closely with community managers on social media shenanigans.

Bullet Echo

Bullet Echo is a tactical mobile team shooter with dozens of different heroes with unique play styles and abilities. Unite with friends, set a strategy, and be the last team standing when the battle ends.

Along with my regular duties, I collaborated with community managers to create a lore expansion hub in Discord so that the players could participate in the universe creation.
